Just a suggestion, but you know those plastic tub things that are used for underbed storage etc? grab one of them and sit your PC in it! thats where mine lives, just to be safe !!! anything electrical on the floor near my tanks gets sat in one of them or on a plastic tray depending which tank its near!

The filter on my policy IS covered if it gets stolen, damaged by an act of god, broken by accident... but ISN'T covered if the tank leaks on it and fries it... To be perfectly honest, all insurance companies can find loopholes to say your not covered and add on further charges.

You say your policy doesnt cover damage by domestic animals... but you could argue that it wasnt a domestic animal that did the damage.. well unless you have a fish with a sledge hammer and an attitude that smashed your tank! It may be worth calling them and telling them you WANT your carpet etc covered for tank leakage or breakages

Zurich is supposed to offer a good insurance for aquariums but as mine doesnt need renewing yet I havent looked into it, I dont know of anywhere that insures just the aquariums... definate space in the market there!
