my 2 kids have laptops with vista, both run slow, ive heard other peeps have the same prob'...this may/maynot help, go to windows website + download summat called windows one[think thats what its called] its a complete diagnostic system that checks everything, its on a 30 day trial then you have to cancel or youll be charged, cleared my pc up a treat...either that or if all else fails, backup any important files and do a re-format, this will return the harddrive back to as if it was new, but youll lose any unsaved data, but it does work

Right, i've signed up, it must have changed since you tried it, at the moment i've got 90-days trial of it and i haven't signed up to anything, if i dont sign up within 90 days, my trial expires that's all.

well im lost i just use windows vista on a duo-core processor all media pc....tower alone was £600 i just use free online anti-virus (AVAST) and im sure the belkin router has a firewall thingy in it with windows firewall .....its not slow ......well not yet !
