It just isnt a great pain tbh telboy, obviously it hurts like anyone who says it doesnt is lieing really as you are having needles put in your skin but i think when people say it dont hurt they just mean is very, very bearable =]

I have to agree with Duce and Grandad. I got my fish tattoo done a 2 months a go and I was bricking it for the few days before having it. But it was nowhere near as bad as thought it would be.
The outline is just like a scratching feeling and the shading is a slight burning feeling but it was very bearable. Kinda get used to it when you've been lying there for 2 hours having it done.
The next few hours after is probably the worse with it stinging TBH. Definatly get more done in the future.

yeah your right, mine took two hours and after being told it hurts i was ****tin it meself like but its nowhere near as bad as u think.
i had mine on my back and obviously thats a more bony area so its abit sorer wen it comes to the shading (and mine took ALOT of shading lol) but it isnt a pain like you would think, but obviously if you have any kind of needle stuck in your body it will be painful, its part of the nervous system to tell you that! its nothing to even make you wince though!
i would rather have a three hour long tattoo than get my lip pierced again! haha

Their only saying that it hurts to scare you tel ( and its working lol ) blood --looks worse than it is,-- scabs --itch a bit --put a bit of cream on --job done. do you realise on what tender parts of their bodies some people have them done (they say where there's no sense there's no feeling but that is taking it to the extreme, lol).

It doesn't help when you got your brother with you saying its going to hurt really bad and your going to cry . But when I was lying there when the tattooist put on the transfer and then started, I actually said 'is that it!'.
I had mine done on the inside of my right forearm. I had also been told before hand that was one of the worst places to get your first one done because of the pain. Mine took a lot of shading too. I got a guitar with wings and the body of the guitar burned a lot as she was really digging the it in but was worth it in the end.
I was going to get my labret pierced but......I chickened out
