Default Locust ID

Bit of a long shot, but anyone any good with Locusts, lol

These are the one's i recently got as live food for the fish, not that it makes much difference, but there are a lot of different species of Locust from my looking on net.

why dya need to know what type it is lex? isnt it for fish food?

yes fish food, but depending upon what species it is can depend upon how long it will survive for if i bought it in bulk. Also some peeps breed them depending on species, although thats mostly for reptile feeding.

i gotta critter cage ya can have to keep em in if ya want it???i used to keep mine on newspaper just add crushed oats/veg/fruit used to keep for weeks

fascinating isn't it, learning about a new animal, even if it is the humble locust.

i went browsing on a few reptile forums the other night, a wealth of knowledge on them about various little animals / critters.
