I have used the same proggys myself Tel.
Although, now what I do is to download the films in AVI format, which my DVD Player can read as it also reads DIVX.
Certainly saves on downloading time & you can squeeze about 5 on a DVD disk.
Only snag is that not all DVD Players can read DIVX/AVI, so lending em out is a problem.
Can someone explain why it cost over a Fiver to see a film, & if you dare to buy any sweets or a drink, that'll set you back more than it cost to watch the film ? ? ?
D'oh
Soapbox again!
Sorry

Yep, i quite liked that too.
I agree with you guy's about the cinema being annoying, they should try and get more staff to actually be in the film area to keep an eye on the twats who don't mind spoiling it for everyone else.
I also hate people eating, it sounds like a load of rabbits munching on carrots sometimes!
I remember when Barry Norman had a big rant saying he never goes the cinema anymore, i agree with him

I watch films on-line ocassionally, sometimes the quality is just like a normal DVD, but mostly it's like watching a good quality pirate, and the problem is you never usually get 100% of the screen available to watch the film in, it's usually about 80-90% of your PC screen
Do you think it's illegal to watch a film on-line without paying?
I am not talking about down-loading, you watch it direct from the website, is that called "streaming" ?

Hi Fry
Yeah probably! lol
(Not much fun watching them on a PC screen tho. You gotta get em on your TV screen)
But who gives a stuff.
Until this country stops ripping us off, I'm gonna download what i like.
I don't rent em out, its only for my own personal pleasure.
Any regular PC user who burns discs knows full well as I do that Blank DVDs cost about 20p each, & I'm sure the big boys don't pay that much, as they buy them by the million.
So, costs of burning a disk.
Printing on the cover & the disk itself.
Any extra bits & pieces including a wedge for advertising & royalties, Probably totals to about a Fiver.
I see no reason why any DVD film or game, (& I include Console games as well) should cost any more than a Tenner to buy.
Until they are that price. They are not gettin my hard earned money.
I told you not to get me started!

i either turn my sofa round and watch it on my PC screen (17" TFT, not amazing, but not too bad), or i'll watch them on the lap-top.
but, basically, yeh... i would prefer to watch them on the TV (ideally)
I was using lovefilm.com and paying £14.99 per month and generally watching about 2-3 films/DVD's a week from them so it wasn't a bad deal, but there were times i didnt order any, and ultimately recently all "non-essential" direct debits have been cancelled so i knocked lovefilm.com on the head

I had a real bad experience with Lovefilm & never used them again.
I'd been with them since they first started up as well.
They used to be called DVDsOnTap.com.
They were good value though.
3 films every week for £14.99 a month. Can't knock that!
Regards
E

Cant remember last time we went to the pictures, I think it was to see either ET or Highlander 4 (rubbish film)
The Fog is a good film just a shame about the ending , same with Predator.
