you will need

tank
filter
lights
skimmer
heaters ( at least 2 as you will have to warm the water you put in the tank to the same as is in the tank )
thermometer
powerheads
uv steriliser or ozonizer
25 ltr water containers
sand
liverock
refractometer ( to measure salinity )
ro water
ro unit (optional but if you dont get one be prepared for weekly visits to your lfs)
salt
airpump, airline, airstones .

ammonia , nitrite , nitrate ,and ph test kits to start with .


Maturing the tank
there are quick fixes on the market ( wouldnt trust them myself, but some people get away with them )the tank should take about six to eight weeks before you can add your first fish and by then with a lot of reading and some practical knowledge you should be more confident
