Default mwilde intro

Hello
My name is Matthew. I live in Hyde, Cheshire (Manchester Area). This is my first post on this new forum, but I did sometimes post on the old one. I read it everyday.

I used to keep a community tropical tank but got a lot more pleasure watching the fish breed so got some breeding tanks.

I stupidly tried to start with Discus but found it too difficult keeping up with the water changes etc.

I bought 4 small breeding tanks, which soon escalated to 13 tanks. I mainly keep fancy guppies, some corys and a group of galaxy rasboras (or what ever they are calling them this week).

My main problem is space. I would love more tanks and would love to try different breeds, but don’t have the space or the money to do it.

My biggest problem and lesson I have learnt is not to overfeed my fish. I used to love watching them feed so would feed them too much, resulting in poor water quality.

Ultimately, now im more experienced, I would love to try breeding discus again. However my tanks are too small.

This is a photo of some of my tanks.

THe tanks now have gravel and plants in. I find it easier to mainain the water quality than bare tanks.
