Yeh i was going to e-mail you about that, touch wood no further issues, all Parrots have their deep orange colouring back
Plants, LOL, tell you what, the thought of my parrots in a planted tank does intrigue me, but there's no way i can afford to run more than one planted tank (plants and lighting wise)

One of the Rope's chilling in the plastic tubes, looking like a right couple of "lads" LOL
Also one very random pic when a Rope butted into my picture but i thought it looked kind of "different"

cheers Jon, yeh they quite stunning, they look better in my 5x2x2 than they did before (48x24x20). Quite a sight, i think i have 14, a mixture of Reds and Splendus (spelling?) Can't remember their exact name but they grow to a slightly smaller length than Reds

Thanks Grandad, yeh, Ancistus, there are 3 in the set-up, 2-males and a female. I did have some eggs in there a few weeks back, found them by accident and moved them as was re-organising tank, they didnt hatch unfortunately.
You had one that lived for 20 years? Wow!

over 20 years , could never keep females with him though , he would always kill them . he went in many of my tanks ,always caught him by the tail ( as I did all my plecs and catfish) as they would always have to be cut out of the net. When I first had them they ruined many a good net, so I perfected catching them with my index finger and my thumb , took a bit of doing to but soon perfected it lol.I remember once I caught all the fish out of one tank and put them in another( forgot all about him ) put my bog wood and bark in buckets filled them with tank water and put them out the back (it was a freezing day ) stripped the tank down and took it down to the shed , right I thought time for the bog wood, gave the bog wood a clean ,and started on the thick bark, as I picked up the bark I could see him wedged in the other side he was stiff as a board and freezing cold , I was gutted , but always the optimist I took him to his new tank and held him in my hands for what seemed like hours but could only have been a couple of minutes in reality and he started to move, I kept hold of him until he swam to the bottom of the tank and went under some bog wood . Next day there he was eating his peeled potato as if nothing had happened , and he lived for many more years ( this is why I always say that where there's life there's hope .

Nice story, i've learnt to check my bog wood very carefully when taking it out of the tank, many a time a Bristlenose has decided to carry on sucking on despite the wood being lifted out the tank.
