Hi
I am glad you have made your opinion
Yes I hardly come on this forum as I mainly go on Cichlid forums and I keep wild Apistogramma and the like.
I also enjoy the Wild beauty of fish.
Please say what you mean about comparing my water to his water?
I have 14 tanks at the moment and am in the middle of building a fishroom which will hold about 55 tanks and I will be breeding wild discus, altum angels, L134 plec, Rare Dwarfs, corys, tetras, rasboras and catfish.
So if you want to question my ability there you go. I can understand why you ask though. I also keep Apistogramma Inridae which require a ph of 4.5.
Arn't you glad I said my mind rather than just say 'nice tank mate'

Parrotfish look horrible they are man made hybrids and not good for the hobby.
It seems you like hybrids rather a lot
Just imagine.... the fish's organs will be all mixed up and look at its body it looks like a crude operation!
I know people are going to come down on me like a tonne of bricks but I am afraid to say in my eyes I can not call you a true hobbiest especially when you are breeding hybrids.
Is no one on this forum bothered about the natural beauty of fish???
Its a shame if you promote this side of fishkeeping!

George any pic's to share of these 14 tanks? I'd love to see them!
You mean you'll be "hoping to breed" the above. Your over confidence is about as endearing as your posts lol
Seriously, no bad blood mate. I want you to post more on here, sounds like you got some nice fish and some cool plans
But try more to discuss and debate and less to slag off and put down etc.
We're all mates on here, yeah we disagree a lot, but all about sharing knowledge and educating each other ok George

Hi
Yeah I will get some pics up of them.
Also breed Betta edithae which is a wild mouthbrooding species of betta. The male spat out 90 fry yesterday.
I breed all the Fish I keep which is an aim I set myself. I breed cardinals, black neons and Rummy noses, also breed a few killifish.
I have a dwarf called Nannacara adoteka, 25 of those and they retail at a outstanding price, really rare in the hobby.
Basically it is fair to say I breed a fair few fish
I have a problem with man-made hybrids I am sure you can understand why??
That is why I prefer wild caught fish in my tanks and nearly all my fish are wild caught or F1 or F2.

Thanks Grandad
In fact, to be fair (in reference to Mil) there is a fair few Parrot hater's out there.
But they are full of character and i love them.
I know there are wider issues regarding hybrids etc, i just choose to ignore those issues, maybe one day i'll take a bigger / more vested interest in those issues, but until that time, i just gonna enjoy me fish like!
....and try and reduce my carbon foot-print... hybrid fish can wait!

Im not a lover of the old parrot fish. and i cant see myself ever keeping one.yet i woul;d not condem anyone who likes them for what they are.
Neither do I see the need to remove fish from the wild all the time. the F1's,2's and so forth. im sure they sell for a higher price to the breeder/dealer.
