I have read up a bit on this, and it says that just about all freshwater plants absorb nitrate as fertilizer , so give it a go and get them growing and deviding in your sump flog the spares

Looking good Grandad!

Is it going to be fish only or reef?

Love the Foxface. Was thing about get one of the 'Magnificent' ones for my tank. Also would want a Dwarf Lionfish but I don't think the Shrimps would be too happy about that!

How big is the tank?

The tank is 6ft x2ftx2ft6 inches and we just managed to get it in there , I would have had a bigger one but we could not have got it through the doors
and as we have bay windows could not get it in that way either . the Mrs would not let me have one made in situ or I would have had a company in to make an eight footer .. this is going to be a fish only tank, and when I think it has settled down completely will move my puffer out of my 5 footer, and my regal tang out of my reef tank (as hes a bit to boisterous in there. all my two lion fish will eat at the moment are live river shrimp( don't like feeding live food but needs must ,. I have been surfing the net but so far cannot find a supplier of frozen river shrimp, but will keep on trying .a lovely little lion fish would think he'd gone to fish heaven in your tank and would make short work of your shrimps, they would not have time to be unhappy lol. fox face cost me £20.00 at one of my local lfs ,s at the other they wanted £50.00 so it pays to shop around .
