i would rather have Bogwood posting to be honest, and i think out of everything written about him, i agree with what Peter says the most (post above).
i am not endorsing over-stocking, but sometimes it feels like he's being hounded off the forum which i dont find pleasant reading to be honest.
some people dont find his fish pics pleasant, but i still dont see that as an excuse to dish it out quite so harsh to the guy.
the peeps dishing it out i still have same level of respect for them being direct and upfront, BUT.... i dont think the messages given to him need have this underlying "f*ck off" message, which if peeps are honest, thats whats happening!

I'm one of the ones who have "dished" it out, but not with a view to him leaving the forum, nor with and underlying "f*uck off" msg tho, I do understand where that has come from, seems to have carried over from the old forum. His fish do all look great and healthy, my only point is his overcrowding, and having kept my mouth shut for so long on the old forum and seeing the same thing over and over, I decided to ask for myself, why the need. I don't doubt he loves his fish, but at the same time, I don't feel there is the need to keep so many big fish in each tank.

I agree wholeheartedly, and didn't feel singled out, I just wanted to state my reasons for my posts.

I am not wanting Bogwood to "f*ck off", far from it. I know how my earlier post could be misconstrued, I was saying its good he won't be trying justify his actions, but I know he does have worthy and valuable knowledge to give. That being said I am still, in honesty, disgusted with his tanks. He appears to have a very reckless approach to the fish he keeps, showing little or no consideration to their size requirements. I know it may sound like a bashing, but the amount of times Bogwood has been told, (very politely to start with I might add) and has ignored advice it does feel a bit like banging your head against a brick wall. If it wasn't for the fact I cared about fish (no matter how ugly) I'd have given up long ago. I am also a where has some personal problems, I'm not going to discuss this in detail, but it does get to the point where it verges on animal cruelty and Bogwood is aware of this. Whilst filtration is adequate, swim space is far from acceptable, and that is what concerns me most.

Its not just the filtration that needs to be addressed its the surface area of the tank.
If "newbie" keepers see this kind of behavior they too will think that it ok to stock to the levels that he keeps his fish and very soon there will be nothing on the forums but "my fish keep dying and I don't know why"
He himself stated that he has removed fish because they were being picked on. These fish have no space and it is in their nature to be territorial, of course they are going to fight.

boggie, if you want folk on here to know you have new tanks, then why post it on mfk? a site that most of us on here hold a high discontempt for because of the "mine is bigger than yours" attitude that 99% of the members have on there!
