I really, really don't understand why people ask advice and then say they are getting 'shot down'
If you though my reply was harsh, then sorry. I don't intend to upset anyone.
But you did ask advice and I did do a very long informative post for you.

Regarding pictures, go to www.photobucket.com and resize them. Alternatively, you can email me the picture, and I will do my best to identify it and help you. It's very important we ID this animal, as without that, he is pretty much doomed.

I'm just really concerned about this animals welfare, you say yourself you don't know what your doing and from the sounds of it niether did the previous owner. Please think about the animals needs and welfare, rather than your feelings.

I'm not trying to upset anyone, but my concern is the animal.

Please also bare in mind we cannot give you specific answers to anything to help you care for it unless we know what species it is.
