Default RF inteference from MH Ballasts

Hi
I have just purchased 2 metal halide 250w electronic ballasts . I have been running magnetic ballasts up til now with no problems.
i wired up the new ballasts, and switched them on. But now my PH, ORP monitors and my temp controller goes loopy !. The ballasts are 5 meters away from the control gear and none of the cables are even close.

How do i eliminate this please ??

Patrick

This maybe completely wrong, as I am only a girl!
you mention RF, maybe getting an RF suppressor like the ones you fit to car radio, will stop the interference?
If I am on the completely wrong track, feel free to berate my suggestion!!! but as noone else had offered, I thought what the hell!!!

only thing I can think of you doing ,is to contact the manufacturers, tell them your problem, and let them try to resolve it for you .

( if they are a big company , they have probally got a trouble shooting team .)

Thanks for the reply's so far.

Indead there are RF and EMI suppressors available, but as i live in rural France, it is so much quicker and easyer to order online than travel hundreds of KM's to the nearest electronic store. So if i find a definate answer, i could order something.

I cannot find the actual manufacturer of 'Marinelux' ballasts.

cheers
