Default Suffiecient Canister filter

Okay guys i have a 4 foot 55 gallon soon to be planted aquarium with carbi eco-complete for substrate, 11 fish (4 gold gouramis, 2 bala sharks, 2 mollys, 2, platies and a dragon fish) and my question is i am going to trade out my power filter for an external canister filter so that i can run CO2 injection, and i was wondering if a Fluval 205 canister filter would be enough to filter this tank it says they are rated up to 40 gallons or do ineed to go ahead and get the 305 which i rated up to 70 or 75 gallons i cant remember(this would save me a little money. Do yall think i could maintain a clean tank with the 205 or do i need to go up to the 305 just to be safe. Or do yall have other suggestions. Thanks

Josh

If you're wanting to use fluval the 305 would be much better than the 205.

I think a 405 would turn a 55g into a jacuzzi tel? I use a 404 on the 150g and it fair moves the water about!!

i used a 304 with spraybar on a 36x15x12 and had great results.
i would go with the biggest filter you can get!

i would sugest that you put a sponge over the outlet strainer to keep plant/fish matter out of the canister! you will not need to open /clean the canister very often ( just my opinion)
