seriously though just goes to prove different fish, different tanks ,different results, Used to put raw potatoes in with the peel still on at first but then I used to have to look for the peel when all the insides had been eaten out (which meant moving my rocks and plants about thats why I peeled them in the end didn't do my plecos any harm oldest one lasted 26 years.lol.

pesky cu***ber, i remember now why i dont like using it as fish food, my 5x2x2 has gone a cloudy! It's definitly the cu***ber, one small rotting bit from yesterday, has done this to me before.

that's when i transferred to courgette!

i guess c u c u m b e r is okay if you dont leave it overnight
