My tank had two rope fish, and I just introduced the second to the tank...Unfortunately the first one doesn't seem to like the second one. He chases and bites her. It doesn't seem like he's hurting her but he's not welcoming his guest as well as I thought he would. Everything I've read says these guys are peaceful toward each other. What should I do?

hello calcifer n welcome to planet earth ropefish are generally peaceful fish...have you got hidey-holes for em? what type of setup do you have, they like to hideaway under wood/rocks etc even plastic drainpipe will do...give em time to settle they should be ok! if not you could always give one to me

you could try adding a few more and make a group of 4

I've got a group of 6 that i have added to as i've gone and never been a problem.
