Bruce also boosts about having 6 catfish that will reach over 24" in size. Then again he is building a pond.
Bruce, I will be very very very suprised if you can get a genuine Hystrix.....?
A maidenhead shop sold this ray to me as a hystrix even though it doesnt look anything like one. But then again maidenhead aquatics are useless and often wrongly ID fish.

I thought you said a 6x2x2 wouldn't be big enough. And it doesn't surprise me you got rid of some fish. Boring after a couple of months, eh?

Not Happy!!!
Boggie, you thinned your tanks out and now your filling them up again! You tell us what we are supposed to say. This is a forum where the majority of users will give very good advice. I do not want to start another argument like on another thread but you publish pics and then do not like the criticism. What else do you expect you are overstocked, then you thin em out then you restock em and then you tell tell someone that 6, 2, 2 isnt big enough for rays and yet you have five of em in one 6,2,2
You open yourself up for criticism and then complain when we do it. I understand from other members that you are a young boy so who is letting you buy these creatures, do they not understand the needs of them and the shop that you are buying them all from should be ashamed and should be shut down.
It is woeful that they should sell a young lad so many large fish and not wonder how he is affording them!
Enough said

I'm criticising you because you seem to 'thin out' a lot. It isn't even thinning out - it's getting rid of a fish when you're bored of it or want something bigger.

No, I'm not sure what it is but no doubt it'll be too big for me to look after, which is why I wouldn't get one. See how a responsible fishkeepers mind works?

Old Forum
This is part of a copy taken from the old forum, back in October 2007 when there was the same old "row" going on
"Our bruce is not thick , hes disabled and has trouble with understanding things , hence him being AUTISTIC, but he certainly does not make fish suffer."
As you guys can see it is all about the lad's supervision or lack of it on the fish he buys (or stocks)
Perhaps all this person is guilty of is loving the big fish just a little too much.
I do think that some of the replies should be directed to the Parents/Guardian.
I apologise if this sounds condescending as it is not my intention to be so, but perhaps this induvidual is not always capable of making the correct decisions about buying large fish.
One thing I am aware of is that the shops he uses must rub their hands when they see him as they are more than grateful to get rid of Big stock. They should be very ashamed.
There is also an issue here that maybe the webmaster should think about addressing, as perhaps this person cannot defend his actions and therefore himself in an eloquent manner, therefore his threads should be vetted before they are added.
I say this as a defence for this person.

Bruce has shown understanding of the fact his tanks are what most would say over-stocked. There are several threads on here clearly showing it. His father has been given advice and from what I remember it resulted in an arguement. You are right though the LFS must be rubbing their hands and more supervision wouldn't go a miss. However, not saying anything wouldn't help and since it's only Bogwood we can talk to thats the only choice we have. Its a real shame for the fish and thats the reason many on here cannot simply sit back and watch so instead try and advise.
