Default Tank Temp

Has anyone else noted the difference in smell of the tank water once is gets 80F and over?

I am sure that once it goes past 79F it smells more "strong" shall we say

I am running my 5x2x2 and Malawi at 80-81 as i notice the fish less skittish at this temp, but it smells more!

and its not my underpants

Hmmmm.

I suppose it does. My brother 2m Rena is at about the same temp as yours and stinks when you open the lid where as mine at around 77 doesn't smell as strong.

I suppose its like most things, when they get hotter they smell more. A bit like your pants when you've had a Vindaloo, smells more coz your burning inside and out....literally!
