had a faulty power head behind my live rock used to give me a buzz every time I put my hand near the lights (being to tight to buy new lights, as the other set was only 18 months old lived with it for a couple of weeks before stripping my lights down and discovering there was nothing wrong with them. ) turned every thing off touching the lights as I unplugged one at a time(not recommended )found the culprit removed from the tank and discovered that the covering on the wire as it enters the powerhead had rotted and the whole thing came apart in my hand . Saying this the unit had been in and out of my tanks for 30 years so it had served me well until I binned it. just lucky it didn,t fry myself.lol.
