i know they filter as in they hold bacteria so do that side of things. but cos the air flow will be pushing the dirt away from the sponge and outlet cos of the air pressure... it wont be collecting waste will it?
i don't have a vacuum for my other tanks, but when doing water changes every other week i catch up all the crap with the siphon, saying that though my filtration on my tanks indoors is probably a bit excessive.
but yeah the whole fish house setup is going to be a real learning curve/experience. so keep your fingers crossed for me!
I've got hold of a load of wood for pretty cheap, now just after something for the insulation, would like kingspan but its too pricey unless i see some going for cheaper then it usually goes for im going to have to go for an alternative..
my pal has suggested i use that stuff they use in roofing for houses its like really thick cotton wool looking stuff (but yellowy in colour), with a silver foil coating on the outside edge... it's meant to be very effective and as cheap as chips...
i'll deffo post pic's throughout this whole project cos im gonna need help/advice/info every step of the way and i know visuals always help people know whats going on
