I found dosing them with kalwasser(i think) powder to a thick paste, round where they pop out works. The calcium stops them from coming out which kills them. He'rd of aiptasia X my local retailer got it in stock!!!!

A couple of peppermint shrimps prevents any reinfestation my tank had literally hundreds of aiptasia in it once I put 3 true peppermint shrimps in as sold by www.stm-shop.co.uk and within a couple of months all were gone. Very rarely see the peppermint shrimps but they are in there somewhere.

thanks alan, peppermint shrimps, could be an option in my sump. but would not last 30 seconds in my tank ,they would start a war between my fish about who is going to eat them lol.
