oh right didnt realise ian, be warned that sometimes using an old sandbed can lead to probs you're better off just using some of it + mixing it with new,i think theres a converter on reefsuk, will tell ya how much LR

well I have got over 100 kg in mine so I recon about 60 to 80 for you, just put in as much as you can afford and add some more slowly if you want to , when you have the cash some of my mates dont have any and they seem to do alright and when I kept marine 30 years ago I had no live rock only an undergravel filter no skimmer no uv and I kept that tank going for ten years with very few losses.
