Default grandads enigma

nitrates were up this morning on my new tank, up to 25 from 5 still no cause for concern but thuoght I would check on the wrasse ,last time I saw him was friday night .located the wrasse and to my amazement all that was left of him was his picked clean skelington and a bit of skin . all I have in the tank is a 1 inch trigger, a 4inch foxface, who are eating well and 2- 1 inch lionfish who will only eat live food at the moment , I have put no clean up crew in this tank yet the only explanation I can come up with is they must have been in the live rock I put in there, anyway whatever ate the wrasse must have been very efficient to pick clean a 6 inch fish in two days

not a clue telboy, I have seen no sign of life anywhere in this tank or on the glass, except for the fish I put in there

i thought title said grandads enema, sorry to hear of your loss, imo the foxface will eat a dead 6" fish in about 30 seconds, both of mine eat white bait for a starter,i would say you have a lot of bristleworm within your rock, wait till lights out leave it 30 mins then use a red light to watch the tank.....you will be amazed at what pops outregards mikk

lol (enema) thanks mick, never had a foxface before , and he seems like a very gentle quite eater letting the little trigger eat what he wants and just taking what ,s left I suppose he would mind ,with the flesh of a 6 inch fish in him
