Thanks a lot Ian.

Yeah things always seem to go wrong at a bad time. But there is plenty of time to sort it out. Its taken 2 years for this tank to get to where it is and lots of ££££. Alot of people give in far too early because they get frustrated with waves of hair algae everywhere or cant get the water right or fish dying. It is hardwork but when you get the end product, all that hard work shows.
Here is a picture of it in the first few months. This was before the halides when there was 8 T8's and 4 T5's in the hood. As you can see....a bit of a mess and was for a while after this too. Then and now:

[quote=slash101;6784]Got a few pictures of my marine setup, was planning on doing it last week but my internet router packed up but I'm back now!

The tank is 8ft x 2ft x 2ft and has:
3x 250w halides,
Red Sea MaxPrizm Pro skimmer,
2x Seio M 1100 powerheads,
4x Fluval 820 powerheads,
SQWD wavemaker,
a sump thats about 3ft too small
and a phosphate reactor that leaks.

Its been running for around 20mths and water parameters are all pretty much spot on except Nitrate which is around 40ppm. Struggling to get it down therefore won't be trying any SPS until its lower. Could also do with a Calcium Reactor too but there are toooo expensive!

that looks great slash,it looks so much bigger than an 8x2x2,makes my 8x2x2 seem small in this pic
