People like you are on a wind up.
What's the point coming on this site and asking for advice and then trying to argue against what's being said?
You have a straightforward choice, listen to the advice or spend loads of money on livestock that wont survive.
Still, your local fish shop will be happy with this outcome!

I can't see where they've argued back, all they said is what the LFS has said. In fairness T8s can be used, but you'll get much better results with T5s. Filtration using live rock, power heads and a skimmer is also fine, many people use that method, myself included.

I wouldn't leave if I was you, having a resource like this is priceless, especially when you're new to the hobby. One, quite childish response shouldn't make you leave.

yep i'd agree with rob 100%

weigh it up, a little bit of ear ache (there's always going to be other people with different opinions on here)

versus how much info some of these guys can give you on keeping marines successfully.

no competition

stick with it

Grandad knows so much about marine setups, there's rumors that he was born in salt water

it took me a bit of time to stop laughing at this peter
Im speechless you have excelled yourself with that one peter lol

everybody has different opinions, some good some bad, listen to the good ones, take heed of the bad ones, if they are meant to help you, and totally rise above any that you feel are unfounded ( like old grandad does lol) stay on the forum kelly , and ask whatever questions you like ( if you dont ask then how can we help you) carry on mailing me or any of the other marine keepers who I am sure will be only to pleased to help you . ( including susan) who has helped old grandad tremendously in the past , thanks again susan , and lets get back on track to getting you into keeping marine fish successfully
