Have you acsess to RO ( reverse osmosis water)?

usualy adding more of this will lower your ph, well its what we use for our discus.

hi thw water is all ro been running 4 24hrs salt level ok kh ok just put in 2 air stones.

hi nik welcome to the forum, do you mean the tank has been running for only 24hrs? if so dont worry, i wouldnt even be testing params just yet, give it a week before ya bother to let things settle down

well Nick im not a marine boy so my guess is that because it is a new tank ph will come down over the days to come.
you havent added anything like bicarbonated soda or calcium based products or anything that could push up the ph?

what is the desired PH for marines? i thought it was quite high.

sory i cant help more as i have no saltwater experience.

keep checking as the salt water boys will be able to advise more on this!

Usually water has a really high Ph when the salt is freshly mixed, it should come down if its only 24hrs old. Usually takes around 48hrs or so for the Ph to be stable enough to use but it can take longer for large amounts of water

But yes, 8.2/3 is to be aiming for. I was I had a Ph of 9.2 for my Tanganyikan Cichlids, almost perfect for them!

the new tank iam filling 3/4 then adding contents of old tank thats been running for 3 years.
