Hi Dave, I suppose they are moderatly hard to keep. They aren't too fussy about water conditions, light, flow etc. Although they tend to be found in shaded areas on the reef. Mine was up right near the halides and was fine.

They do need fed very regularly. Mine was fed cyclopies when it was smaller, then moved up to mysis, every night. It doesnt have to be every night though. Another very good food for it is blitzed halibut. Just go to your local supermarket and get some halibut then stick it in a food blender and you can put it in a ice cube block and then freeze it. Very rich food.

Yes it is normal. The polyps will fill out the more its fed, they can grow quite large. They reproduce by both spreading or releasing little ones which attach where ever they land.

since we have already got a thread for suncoral i thought that i will add here with my coral. There is a lot off speculation if the coral should be shaded or not but if placed mine in the shade.Once they get fed in a routine i think they will florish and i manage to get some decent pics off mine this morning as i am not much off a photographer
