alsotelli have gota few of the arcadialight units the grey starter boxs with push on fittings can u get marine bulbs for these /

yes you can mate but they are t8,not worth spending the xtra spondoolees seeing as your gonna go t5 in a few weeks

cool spent all day stripped down the 6 footer cleaned likenever been cleaned berfore lol washed crushed coral and filter half filled tank with water and sea salt filters n power heads up n running all ready for rock tomorrow only half filled tank so the lights i have got at min can get through to the mushys etc hopefully keep em alive lol

just done test on water tel only been running for 4 hours readings as follows
ph. 7.8
am. 0.25
nitrite 00000000
nitrate 10

didnt think it was to bad considering time running had to use tap water as lfs ro machine down

just a quickie i would use a v21000 skimmer on your size tank.very good skimmers and r easy to use.

are those readings just salted water, with nowt else in the tank?

yes tel thats the readings just salt water filter running and powerhead and some oxygen off of pump till it gets estabalished. just put in rock got some nice mushys appearing purples green browns even got some little creatures to lol also bought the skimmer its by red sea called berlin does up to 250 gallons with pumpand airpump not sure how to set it uplooks a challange lol can i set it up inside tank for now till i get sump soughted out i presume skimmer sits inside of tank in the water with pump then adjust the air flow to increase or decrease flow of wateror amount it holds ?

ph wants to be bout 8.2, ammonia needs to come down mate...youll prob get spikes in ya readings now the rocks in, keep up with weekly waterchanges to keep on top of it...i reckon you should post me a couple of them mushies dunc! as for skimmer, arent the berlins hang on types? just google the make + model you should get results for it!

when the mushies grow some m8 will post ya some just like raised stains on the rocks at mo lol this bloke had lovely set up 6 x 30 x 30 with another tank below where he grows all enamoies and mushies etc then sump below that he also imports em 3 to 4 times a year and coral etc and he also does fragging tookme ages getting through london today park lane closed directed through hyde park nightmare 3 hours from here to tooting
