We aren't trying to get you worried or anything but just want to be cautious. It might be perfectly fine but then it usually take a lot longer for a tank to be ready to take any kind of livestock.

But yes, just keep an eye on everything. Atleast you have the nano to stick the fish into if things go wrong.
oh no i would rather be told straight lol...wether it worries me or not! and as for the nano unfortunately i have given that back to my brother now...BUT if things do start going wrong i can always take them to my lfs as they are only 15-20 min up the road and board fish for people going on holiday etc...

thanks for that mate, and yeah i am going to be patient patient patient now lol...but also worried worried worried lol...but as i say i will test water every other day and keep a VERY close eye on things...NO more fish! the only thing being added now is water and sand lol...i am a bit peed off as the guy at the lfs knew it was a new set up etc and didnt say anything about the readings being perfect because it was new water...ah well everything crossed! and i have learned a valuable lesson! i just hope the fish dont suffer because of it!

as the boys have said, you hAve still got your nano tank to fall back on. in an emergency .and I would not add any more fish to that tank for at least 2 months after it has settled as you have 5 in there now

just an update, i know its still early days but i have been testing daily for ammonia and nitates and touch wood they are both still at zero...i will keep testing daily for the next few weeks so if anything does go horribly wrong i will be able to catch it before too much harm is done hopefuly...but fingers crossed things will carry on as they are.
