The shop knew full well!
The filter came as part of the tank, its got 2 sections with ceramic 'things' (sorry!), sponge and carbon sponge.
The fish is not getting stuck in the flow, its happening at the other side.
I sound really naive i know, but best to ask now and save the fish from any more trauma, the shop obviously just want my money!
