Help with inherited Koi Pond!

I have inherited a huge Koi pond with my new house and now part of the complicated filter system in place is strangely broke?
There is a uv 55w clarifier which the water travels through at the back of the pond and the light inside doesn't seem to connect at any end. You can push the lamp through with your finger there doesn't seem to be any ends although i am sure there was before?
Would anyone be able to tell me how to identify the make as i cannot see any logo or maybe where i could look to find some replacement parts? The pond is getting greener and the filter bits at the back, glogged with algae.

Any advice would be very appreciated!

Can you take a picture of your system? If not check for any sort of model/serial number and then let us know

Thanks for posting so quickly!
Here are a couple of pictures and you can see the ends of the tube and the bulb sticking out.
The make of the power box is Blagdon pond masters if this has any bearing on the make of the uv housing. I checked all over and there is not a clue to who makes the housing bit

Any help would be great!

looks to me that the previous owner ! or some theeving git has stolen the electric cable and end caps of the UV.

a uv is only like a strip light that sits in a clear glass sleve and the water passes over/around the light thus killing the algie.

im sorry but if you cant find the cables or the make and modle (yours could even be home made) then you may have to replace the whole uv unit.......could yours be one like these?

Well I must admit I have never come across that type of UV before

. But what puzzles me most is why anyone would want to remove the electrics

. As mentioned not only the electrics have been removed but the two rubber end caps that seal the electic components in.

Junas the eclectic components themselves can be replaced quite easerly, but the two rubber end caps are made to fit that model of UV. without knowing who makes it, you will be stumped to find replacements.

If you are intending on keeping the pond , give me some info on the size of the pond and what sort of fish you want to keep, I can then tell you what sort of UV you will need to replace that unit.
