Clowns are ok, but if you got a planted aquarium, you won't have for long. lol

The clowns will desolate your plants.

If you do use any medications.

You can get filters afterwards that will remove the copper based chemicals.

Regular cleaning of your tank, water changes, using a gravel cleaner, will keep the numbers down, remove any bogwood & slate when cleaning out & either remove the snails or boil the kettle & emerse each piece of bogwood or slate in the boiling water for a few minutes to kill any tiny snails or eggs.

Any plants you buy, try to check as best as you can that you are not adding any more snails or eggs into your tanks.
