Hi Alan

I would beg to differ with your comment about getting the flow started again.

The 2224 has the taps for both inlet & outlet, thats not a problem.

The problem is once the impellor chamber is empty, lets say because of a clean out.
Once you put it all back together, the pipes are full & so is the filter housing, but the pump/ impellor housing is empty, so you get trapped air, which slowly dissipates as you jiggle it about for about 10 minutes or so.

I have to say though that what I did this time round was before I put the 2 pipes back on to the filter, I stuck a funnell in & filled up the impellor housing with water from the tank, in an attempt to avoid trapped air.

It was quicker, but still not the quickest.
