Cheers guys.

Here's the latest update for you then.
The female is still protecting the eggs anything that comes within 10cm of the eggs is quickly chased off, including the male. The eggs are changing shape now - there's point were the tail have or will come out. According to most sites and books it's two days from laying that the eggs hatch and it's looking like that'll be the case, which will make tomorrows update much better than this. For now though here's some pictures of the female guarding her eggs, it doesn't really look any different to yesterday (the eggs aren't white but for some reason the camera has changed their colour).

I've got a few pictures of the male as well, the glass could do with a clean and the camera isn't good so bare in mind his colours are about 100 times better than the photos show!

Cheers, I can't really take much credit since I didn't grow these fish on, but he is a great looking fish. Good news is theres a few eggs with tails that are shaking, looking forward to tomorrow morning when they'll be hatched out.

Sorry about the lack of updates, the first female now has 4 free swimming babies which I saw for the first time today. The other female has moved her fry further up the wood so I can't see them as it's covered by plants. I still don't have much hope for the 4 babies but having said that the mother is very aggresive when it comes to defending her young. In a couple of days the other female should be out with her babies. Could be intresting to see how the females behave with each other when they both have young.
No photos because there isn't much to see, the free swimming ones are too small to get a photo of and the others can't be seen.

They are eager to breed and the male is a randy sod.
