Hi Guys,

I am worried about the PH on my discus tank. My normal readings are aroung 6.5. However last night i got a reading of at least 7.5. I immediately did a 50% water change and another 20% tonight. Cleaned both my filters etc. However i am still getting a very high reading.

Firstly, what would cause this to go so high all of a sudden? I regularly water change and clean the substrate and filters.

I have also added more bog wood tonight, though this has been soaking for over three weeks, is this going to make the blindest bit of a difference after so long soaking?

Will my discus cope until tomorrow until i get some peat for the filter and fresh bogwood?
