mix all mine in the five, five gallon plastic water containers I have .I have an air stone in each 'and a cheap heater ,I have a large beaker that I use to add the salt two <and a half of them and the sg is spot on once the temperature has risen to the same as the tank ( don't foget Dave and ian if you are going to mix in your container, put the top on and give it a good shake , and before you add to your tank give another good shake, because I have found that no matter how much aeration you give it there will still be some salt at the bottom of your container.then check your sg again before you add to the tank I always aerate the ro water for 24 hours prior to adding to the tank some do more some do less but it works for me .
