Another few questions for you! sorry to bug you at this time of night.
just tested water
Ammonia 0.25 (just a tinge of green)
Nitrite 0ppm how can that come down so fast, overnight it seems?
Nitrate 20ppm
Ph still no change

How and why is this happening so fast? I havent changed anything, no water changes nothing added, other than the prawns as you suggested yesterday.
I did turn up the water temp after reading the link about fishless cycling and using ammonia drops, and the water is quite vigorously aerated, but all that has not changed since the first day of setup. Dont get me wrong, I`m proper chuffed, but it doesnt seem to be following the rules!!
