Ah in the mini tank pic's, they were pineapple swords in there for cycling, they've since been moved on to the 3ft'er and the koi swords are in the mini now (pic's are from a month or so back)

The natural looking tank I have about 3" of gravel... Being a newb I thought the deeper the gravel the better the plants would grow... (Yeah I even laugh at myself now that I've learnt more! ) As soon as I have the room, I'm going to re-juggle the fish about and put all the plants from the 3ft'er in the 6ft'er, do away with the gravel (or at least most of it...) and go for a different look...

Yeah it's a 4ft sump underneath, the guy I bought the tank from used to run a marine setup... The sumps been hard work to get it right, but finally there I think.. Discus look nice, but from what I've heard are not very easy to keep. Think I'll have to do my apprenticeship with some more hardy fish before I'm ready for that.

I'd love an armatus or a pea**** bass, but they grow so bloody big!
