Thanks for your comments guys.

Still really happy with them and they are growing in confidence, they now follow my hand around if i move it infront of the tank.

I know it is still settling in period, but their appetite is not good.

I have fed them brine shrimp, beefheart and even tried discus pellets, but they are just not interested. I am not worried for now, but i know in a few days i will panic if they have not started eating!!

The big blue one started off by showing the others who is boss and was pecking at thier eyes etc and head butted one so hard, i heard the clunk!
However it seems to have stopped for now, but he is deffo the leader, cause where he goes, the others instantly follow. He is the biggest too, so maybe they feel safer with big daddy!

Also a question for you discus experts, can you tell a male and female from the pics??? If so, let me know who to sex them etc?

Cheers

they will show you what sex they are when they are ready to breed. when they are bigger they will pair off to one end of the tank and defend it for their own!
just before they spawn the female will show a egg-tube and the male just a pimple.

only way i can describe it is get a click ball point pen........click the ball down = the male ........retract the ball = the female......
