well, they would most likely be okay in terms of water parameters, they are Afrian fish like Malawi, although their natural habitat has water that is not as hard or high in pH as where Malawi's are found.
they are omnivores, so dietary wise they could mix with some types of Malawi
but, but, but at the end of the day, from what i understand of these fish, i would not mix them with Malawi, unless it was some bigger malawi that could handle the aggression, but even then, seems a gamble.
