Hmmmm, think you've been stitched up a bit. Pretty much all cichlids are aggressive, some more so then other. They aren't so bad when they are smaller but when they get better and want to breed......bad news for your other fish.
Its not so bad for you though as you have very little in your tank and they shouldn't bother the Clowns or Plec but they can potentially be nasty.
