Last week we put a end to one of our Oranda baby goldfish. He was one of the babys that we had breed ourselvs so kinda special.
Being the runt of the 5 that we were left with.He always swam different to the others he never grew the right shape and in the end would spend time near the surface upside down ,Righting himself when you walked past and swimming normal.
Last week i returned home to find him missing a eye and not looking good. I took the decision to step into God's shoes and controll when and how he would pass over to the fish heaven!

Had a pet talk with the wife as its her department ( fancy fish) and opted for something i had read on another forum.


some would probably have culled him earlyer but we like to give him as long as sensable.

I brought home from the chemists Clove Oil
diluted 8 drops clove oil into a old drinks bottle with water mixed well!
placed the little one in a icecream tub and added the mix.
watched his breething slow as the oil started to put him to sleep. i added some more oil and he passed away peacefully. to make sure i added the remainder of the oil.

Never Easy but if we are responsable about out pets then we do the right thing by them!

Just thought i would pass this method on for others !
