my labeotropheus fulleborni ob spat today - 36 pure fry, all seem healthy, that will be over 300 fry i'm growing out now ! average amount seems to vary depending on species, my hongi's always have around 24, my yellows labs about 16, my victorian zebra obliquidens have about 35 each time (largest female) or 16 (smaller females), my alunocara tangerines have about 18, callianos had 12, rusty spat 18 but 6 died within a day, others are healthy, greshaeki only had 8 but i caught her late and she may have spat some in her tank. the crabbo pair have bred 3 times now but i've culled the fry each time down to 1 or 2 as the colouration is very weak on the majority - guess my adult pair weren't the best. had a pair of aulonocara sp yellow collar (monkey bay) delivered today so who knows what they'll get up to....

auruetus pair have 16-24 each time also.
borleyi red fin 1m 4f have swallowed twice now.
With 7 tanks plus 3 fry tanks & 1 rehab tank there's always something happening !

I have stacks of F1 Pundamelia Igniopinnis 'Igome' and F2 Astatotilapia Nyererei 'Python Island' They usually have about 30 each time. Also got about 50 F2 Pseudo Acei 'Ngara', she was 40 one time and 10 another . Got some F1 Metriaclima Barlowi, only had about 11 last time. F2 Scieano Fryeri, she has about 15 each time. TB Aulonocara Maylandi, first brood was about 20. F2 Cynotilapia Afra 'Mara Rock', about 20 each time and they breed every few weeks.

I'm running out of tanks.

my large zebra obliquidens (lake victoria) female was so swollen today that i ended up stripping her - 127 fry !!!!!!!! seriously, that has to be some sort of record !!!!!
