Default A suggestion......

probably not "technically" possible or if so maybe too much hassle

If you are the author of a fish thread (i.e not a banter thread or NFR), i would like to see you be able to have the "power" to delete someone's post on that thead if it has nothing whatsoever to do with the thread?

Is this possible? Actually i dont think it will work, to be honest but its what i was kind of thinking recently.

I know it will mean Rob C's post count gets halved, but what can you do? Just joking about Rob C its not aimed at him or any one individual.

Or.... if we felt that a post was clearly unhelpful and not keeping to the spirit of the thread should be just mail you Webmaster and you can delete it or atleast think about deleting it?

It's not so we (or dare i say it, I) can have threads were only the original poster's view counts, but i just wondered?

It hasnt happened so much on here yet, but it was one of the problems of the old AC, obviously it happens from time to time with fish forums / any forums, but i dont notice it as much on other forums i use.

I am all for the banter and hijacking LOL, just want to protect the "serious" or "semi serious" fish threads?

I completely agree with you, I personally try my best not to hijack threads and very rarely do.
Without making everyone a Moderator I don't think it would be possible though.

Thanks Rob, great minds do think a like, i think we bring that intellectual touch to the forum (i.e. class) LOL

I guess i was kind of thinking aloud really, its not like there's a massive problem right now.
