Default Euro 2008

So no thread yet on this unless i missed it, i am just watching the early stages of Germany v Croatia

I've been looking at the lay-out for the QF's, this is what i see happening according the schedule

Thursday 19th, 7.45pm
Portugal v Croatia
I think Portugal will surely win group A now, then play runner's up of group B (Croatia), as even if it's a draw in the Germany v Croatia game, Germany have got Austria in their last game and should win

Friday 20th, 7.45pm
Germany v Czech Republic or Turkey
Toss-up between the Czech's and Turkey for runner-up in group A i think

Saturday 21st, 7.45pm
Holland or France v Sweden or Russia
Unless France beat Holland tomorrow, i see Holland winning group C and playing on Saturday against Sweden or Russia (runner's up of Group D)

Sunday 22nd, 7.45pm
Span v France, Italy or Holland
I really can't see Spain not winning Group D, which means they will play the runner's up of Group C which could be any of the three above (i dont think Romania will be in the mix)

My early prediction from what i can see is...........

Portugal will beat Germany in the first semi-final

Portugal will then play either Italy, Holland or Spain in the final

I still can't rule Italy out, even after the 0-3 to Holland, and i just don't fancy France this year.

No idea who will win Euro 2008, some team courtesy of a penalty shoot out no doubt

EDIT: ooooooh, Croatia are 1-0 up on the Gerry's. Should make for a good 2nd half!

Portugal, Germany or Spain will win. I'm backing Spain myself.

well, shows you how much i know, i really didn't see a Germany defeat today. Good game.

If anyone see's the sending off, doesn't it annoy you when a player gets "shoved" in the chest area or even very slightly pushed in the face and they go down clutching their face like they been smacked in the face with a hammer.

best goal of the tournament so far scored (in my opinion) this evening. Robben of Holland, at short(ish) range, but what an angle to score from! And it came less than one minute after Henry had just scored for France!

Great game

Edit: update, wow! make that the two best goals of the tournament being scored this evening, what a cracker from the Dutch again in injury time, pleasure to watch
