save yourself some time and hassle...

put the "food to be" in an ice cream tub, throw it in the freezer. works a treat

just unthaw them pre feeding them.

my neighbor does it for mice and rats for his snake

i'm not saying it is humane, i know nothing of feeding animals to animals. i don't wanna offend anyone

but yeah my neighbour does it.

Have you not read the any of the articles about the kindest way to kill fish? Freezing is one of the worst, eyes freeze before they die which is obviously going to cause a lot of pain. If it wasn't inhumane to just freeze the rodents why would the guy be bothering with a gas chamber?
