Default Recent films you have seen?

Here's some of mine.............

Cloverfield throught it was utter garbage, waste of time for me (and i'm usually all for alien invasion!)

30 Days of Night (Vampire-type horror), not amazing, but overall i was glad i watched it, a little bit routine but worth a look

The Kingdom (Jamie Foxx), better than i anticipated from the reviews, i liked it, but then again Jamie Foxx in most things seems to be good

The Mist (Horror based on Stephen King book i think?), oooh i really liked this, i think its one of those love it or hate it ones, but i thought it was excellent if you into this type of horror and such a powerful ending (well i thought so)

Iron Man, saw it at the cinema with my boy recently, pretty good stuff for it's "type" of film, i think it works well, good fun!

Rise of the foot soldier, average, i am not really into these British "hard man/ganster" films too much (not the modern ones anyway), this one's based on the land-rover killings in Essex, where a 4x4 ended up looking like it had hosted a strawberry jam party.

Invasion (Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig), yet another re-make of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and i happen to enjoy all the re-makes and i also liked this one, found it very tense throughout.

Diary of the Dead, i didn't like it, non-event for me (and i am a Zombie Film fan, but this was bad, very bad)

Breach, based on a true story of a big American Spy scandel, interesting story, read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Hanssen this film was better than i expected, kind of a "routine" thriller, but i enjoyed it

Andromeda Strain, remake, almost 3 hrs long, i loved the original sci-fi, and i also liked this re-make, quite like my disaster movies and enjoyed this one a lot, typically they've made it a bit more "horror" than the original one (1971)

Agree with you on Cloverfield and Iron Man. I haven't seen any of the others.

Getting Over Sarah Marshall is quite good - funnier than a usual romcom, but exactly the same in ever other way.

Anchorman I hadn't seen it until a few weeks ago, it's now one of my favourites. So many hillarious quotes from that film.

Hahaha.

Yeah it was good. I will get around to watching 'I am Hero' at somepoint.

I didn't really like 'The Mist'. Was a bit too weird.

Will probs watch the new Indiana Jones later, see if thats any good.

Hi

I don't go to the Cinema, to many people talking or eating, or both.
I much prefer to either get the DVD or (Ahem) burn them onto DVD meself.
Then its me & the Mrs Equalizer, a cup of tea & a bar of chocolate.

I thought that "Cloverfield" was quite good, not exactly praiseworthy, but I liked it.

"30 days of night", was good, I liked the effects & the gore.

Saw "Balls of Fury" the other week. Can't believe I wasted 90 minutes of my life that I can never get back, on that crap.

Saw Clint Eastwoods "Bloodwork" Unfortunately, it was predictable & dissapointing, especially dissapointing coz I like eastwood films, especially "Absolute Power" & "In the Line of Fire".

"Run Fatboy Run" wasn't bad, didn't live up to its hype, but very watchable.

"The Condemned" was a balls out action film, that didn't pretend to be anything other than what it was, I liked that a lot.

"Vantage Point" I am in the middle of watching, so far its very good.

"Shooter" Is also very good.

I don't really like movies that make you think, or move you to tears. Too many Stuck up Movie reviewers, give a film a bad rating just because its a balls out action film, & not a moving biopic of someones fight for justice or freedom.

I just want to be entertained!

Anyway, I'd better get off my soapbox.

i never go to cinema/pictures as us oldies call it like E says too many knob eads, plus you need a mortgage to pay for it...much rather watch it alone at home on dvd, cant watch films with the missus, she points out the painted scenerys etc and talks all the way through it... ive got a good programme that does 100% copies "any dvd + clone dvd" go to http://www.slysoft.com/en/ download the free trial give it a bash...only copies though, doesnt download movies from the net, but ive saved £100s
