I took my car for an mot yesterday , I never look before hand and always let them tell me whats wrong before doing repairs ( because once I start looking close ,I can always find something not quite right, and it always cost me a bomb to put right, and there is no need to do it for an mot) any way , it failed on one tyre, and one windscreen wiper , I asked them if they had spares there ,they said they did not, but would get them for me ,they got me a tyre within 15 minutes and charged me an exceptional price now the wiper blade they were changing was only 4 months old, bought from a main dealer ,after he ruined mine while rebooting the computer on the car and left it running on a bone dry windscreen for over half an hour, after a big row with the staff ,fitter and manager,and getting nowhere , I bought a replacement off them for the rip off price of £32.50 (could not get one within 10 miles and that was from another main dealer)4 months old total rubbish. PEURGEOT MAIN DEALERS )
told them again what I thought of them and that they had lost my custom for good and left before I had a heart attack lol. any way back to the plot the mot station told me that my new wiper blade would be there by 12oclock today , phoned them 12.30 it had not arrived they said they would look into why it had not come and get back to me 2 o clock they phoned me back and said to come and get it . I got there 2.10 they fitted it and when I asked the price they said, FREE OF CHARGE for messing me about now dont you think that was good of them I thanked them ,and told them that in future they will be getting all my custom , and I fully intend to keep my word .SO NOT ALL GARAGES ARE RIP OFF MERCHANTS . the name of the garage that I went to was NATIONWIDE AUTOCENTRES.

Not all but most!

we have 2 cars and last time the newer one had a Mot at main ford garage they failed it on breaks and wiperblades.well not impressed with their quote to do the work i told the wife to go else where and we saved over £80. though they insisted for us to have a free retest it had to be back on their forcout the following morning before they opend!

tonight i just asked a different mot center how long i will get to fix up the older run around car and they told me 10 working days!

what a difference between 2 garages for the same bit of paper that prooves nothing!

I am sure they fail most cars on the wipers! i know the wife would have payed the ford garrage a small fortune as she believes everything they say......well they know best they are Ford she would say!

MOT is always nerve wracking

my wiper had definately had it .
not that it made any difference to me, but on the wall of the garage I went to, it said you would not be charged for another mot as long as you took it back before the end of the next working day . TOTAL COST TO ME--- MOT ----GOOD QUALITY TYRE --- NEW WIPER BLADE--- AND THE WHEEL BALANCED -- £78.10

I took my grand voyager in for a new exhaust (2 back boxes) i got them to regas my aircon and a full service.



£140 its not what you know its who ya know...


Now thats cheap.
