I've been using this for a while now for my hotmail addy.

I am going to ditch my hotmail addy soon and have a new email addy with googlemail.com but i just realised i can't sign up for Windows Live Messenger with it?

What's the best way of getting instant messaging if i am with Googlemail.com as my email account, anyone in the know?

i used to use something called trillian, messenger for all adresses. not sure if its about but im sure there are replicas out there.

You can still use your hotmail addy, just visit your inbox once a month (or is it once every 3 months?) to keep your account active, then you can continue to use it.
