Metallica and slayer are good but are too old now and have gone too 'commerical'.

Little Man Tate - great songs, plus witty lyrics that you can't help but indetify with and sing along too.
Arctic Monkeys - absolute legends, loved them way before they were 'big' and still do. Bloc Party - been listening to them for years, taken a new electro style turn but still great songs
Maximo Park - trully brilliant live, again I've liked these for years, some great songs.

Indie is definately the best genre around, filled with quite a bit of poo poo at the minute though.

Whattt! metallica did well commercially but Slayer could never make it! mtv or music channels wouldn't play them because they're so controversial. the only thing that kept slayer a band was the fans that payed for albums. Queens of the stone age are my favorite anyway. theyre mint
